#3 - With Congress agonizingly stalled on climate action, the EPA proposed the first-ever federal carbon pollution standards for new fossil fuel power plants.
There are currently no climate pollution limits on America’s power plants, the largest source of climate pollution in the country. These standards for new power plants coupled with tough standards on existing power plants—which we expect to be announced next June—are game-changers.
EDF activists have already sent more than 300,000 messages to Congress urging their legislators to support EPA’s action. But the EPA remains under constant attack on Capitol Hill and in the Supreme Court.

#2 - The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), heavily funded by the Dirty Energy Lobby, introduced 37 bills in state legislatures around the country to roll back renewable energy standards for state utilities.
More than 35,000 of you wrote to your legislators opposing these attacks—and when the dust settled, ALEC failed to eliminate a single standard in any state, while four states even increased their standard.
