We’re living at a critical time. This year, for the first time in human history, the concentration of CO2 in the earth’s atmosphere exceeded 400 parts per million—a frightening milestone long feared by climate scientists. And last month was the hottest November on record, according to NASA (see graph below).
Despite these terrible warning signs, partisan gridlock has kept Congress from taking action. Not only that, but the dirty air lobby’s friends in Congress constantly work to roll back our hard-won progress.
